In Their Faces

“Ignore me while I get all up in your face,” is the line I often use just before I take a candid portrait. It’s a fine line between being rude and getting close enough to capture someone’s portrait before they have a chance to pose for the camera. Of course it’s not always like that; sometimes posing a subject can get good results, too. And there’s also the “spray and pray” technique. Whatever the approach, here’s some of my best portraits.
